Global Sound – Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2004
The 2004 California State Fair at Cal Expo will feature its first floating luxury houseboat exhibit. Starting August 20th and running through September 6th, houseboats.com will have their top-of-the-line luxury model houseboat, the Escapade, floating in the lagoon adjacent to the center fountain during the California State Fair festivities. The 56′ vessel will be lifted and set into the lagoon by crane, providing both boating enthusiasts and future houseboaters the opportunity to tour this unique floating exhibit.
New for 2004, the richly appointed Escapade boasts an entertainment system including TV/DVD, tracking satellite and DVD Home Theater Sound System and features a faux fireplace in the main salon. This magnificent vessel features luxurious wall coverings in shimmering copper and fabrics in warm hues of wheat and pomegranate. The avant-garde galley incorporates every state-of-the-art appliance imaginable, including a spacious 25 cu. ft. side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with ice and water dispensers. The light maple cabinetry perpetuates the soft, inviting atmosphere found throughout the Escapade. Two private staterooms, 2 convertible couches, one full and one twin size bunk are on the main level. Move your party to the upper deck where the 6-person hot tub, waterslide, TV/DVD, observation counter and second galley with barbeque and fridge are located. A fiberglass hardtop with ceiling fans provides a comfortable arena for cooking and relaxing. Including the air-conditioned penthouse loft, the Escapade sleeps 15 comfortably
houseboats.com, one of the largest marina operators serving Northern California, will offer tours of the luxury vessel as well as wheel chair accessible video presentations. Information on houseboating will also be provided and fair attendees will have the advantage of making on-site houseboat rental reservations at a special discount.
