    The current DSP design does not allow this, but if you have a few spare channels you can take a direct out from 1 channel via MADI and return it as a MADI input to the spare channel.

  2. is it possible to use MADI in&outs as inserts on the si series, and more specifically on the si compact series? So that one could use plugins from a laptop such as Waves Multirack, or other.

  3. Generally the answer is ‘Yes’. Inserts can nearly always be used as outputs for such a task and, depending upon your console and system inserts often serve very well as returns from your audio interface back into the console.
