Gorilla Receives 2 Outstanding Achievement Awards from the Interactive Media Council – Global Sound

Gorilla, a full-service ecommerce solutions provider and 2010 Magento Partner of the Year, announced it has received 2 Interactive Media Awards for Outstanding Achievement from the Interactive Media Council (IMC). The awards, given in the Music and Ecommerce categories, recognize Gorillas work in developing the Axient.net microsite for Shure, a leading pro audio equipment manufacturer, and the flagship site for Custo Barcelona, an international multichannel fashion retailer. Both sites were created on the Magento ecommerce platform.

The IMC, a nonprofit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals, sponsors the Interactive Media Awards to recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement. Gorilla is honored to have received these prestigious awards from the IMC.

Gorilla designed and developed the Axient microsite to coincide with the launch Shures new Axient line of pro audio wireless live performance management products. Created under a tight deadline to meet an official product launch event, the Axient site is equal parts product showcase and end-user knowledgebase. The sites sleek user interface was inspired by the products themselves, while conforming to Shures exacting branding guidelines. Technical and multimedia content was incorporated to supplement product details pages, enhancing the overall usability of these highly technical products. Developed on the Magento platform, the site was built to manageably grow in-step with the Axient product line.

The ecommerce solution Gorilla implemented for Custo Barcelona was designed to create a virtual red carpet for the brands stylish and provocative clothing, while enhancing their ability to conduct business internationally. The dual site build created U.S. and Rest of World sites that provide support for 6 languages and transactions in multiple currencies in addition to offering an elegant showcase for their growing line of fashion apparel and accessories.
